"Comparison is the thief of joy."
Why Is That?
When we idealize someone else's life, we allow comparison to dictate how we view our own lives. Our sense of reality becomes distorted. We enter a place of disillusionment that robs us of the joy we have RIGHT IN FRONT OF US.
Comparison compels us to desire more while we continually view ourselves as less.
How Can You Free Yourself of Comparison?
LOVE YOUR PAST - ACCEPT WHO YOU ARE
Rather than fighting where you are, come to peace with it. Say "Yes" to every part of your life. Now, from this new outlook, make decisions that will move you in the right direction.
BE GRATEFUL FOR WHAT YOU HAVE
When you focus on being thankful for the good in your life, it’s easier to see all the reasons why you shouldn’t compare yourself to others.
TAKE BACK WHAT BELONGS TO YOU
Focusing on what other people have that you don’t gives away your power. Time spent on comparing your path to someone else’s is time LOST on creating your own.
Take back your power from all the people, places, and situations where you’ve left it and bring it back home. Use your energy for believing, not doubting, and for creating, not destroying.
Focus on you. Focus on being the best that you can be and share that with the WORLD.
